March Madness

In March our thoughts just naturally turn to basketball. The term “March Madness” first appeared, in print in 1939, in an essay by Henry V. Porter. He used the term to describe the excitement that surrounds the Illinois state high school basketball tournaments held each year in March.

Basketball is an important part of Eldorado History. Share your memories with us. Do you remember when the Duff-Kingston Gym was built (1957)? Who were some of you favorite players?
